In 1876, the April Uprising broke out at the Kalachev Bridge in the town of Koprivshtitsa. The site has gone down in history as the “Bridge of the First Shot” — Parva Pushka in Bulgarian, and the name our race carries today. 150 years later, join us for the second edition of the “Parva Pushka Trail.” Once again, you’ll have the chance to discover the enchanting autumn trails of Sredna Gora and even climb its highest peak — Bogdan, at 1,604 metres. After the ascent, you can take in the majestic views of the Rhodopes and the Balkan Mountains (Stara Planina). Immerse yourself, too, in the patriotic spirit of the cobblestone streets and the authentic old houses.
